In 1979, Ken Grossman began building a small brewery in the town of Chico, California. His goal: to brew exceptional ales and lagers. Today, the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is considered the premier craft brewery in the United States.
Our brewery consists of a 60 barrel, four vessel, steam-fired brewhouse capable of producing between 54,000 and 72,000 barrels a year. We currently have four 60 barrel, six 120 barrel and three 240 barrel fermenters with one brite tank
