This class is part of the Intermediate Cooking-package.

Join us on an epicurean tour of Burgundy - a region equally heralded for both its legendary wines and its fantastic culinary heritage. Roll up your sleeves for a bit hands-on learning, a dash of technique, a pinch of history, and a heaping helping of delicious food and wine. Together, we'll whip up some classic Burgundian gougeres - classic cheese puffs - to accompany a sparkling Crémant de Borgogne, and some warm apple and cheese tartes to go with a more classically styled Chablis. You'll also learn the techinques involved in making two great Burgundian classics: Coq au Vin and Beef Bourgignon, which we'll enjoy with a terrific Chardonnay from the Macon, a delightful Gamay from Beaujolais, and an awe-inspiring Pinot Noir from the Cotes de Nuits. We'll end with a tasting of one of the regions great desserts - a traditional Burgundian gateau.
