Robb Horesovsky is the Wine Director at Panevino Ristorante & Gourmet Deli. As Wine Director, Horesovsky is responsible for the daily operations and management of nearly 400 wines with 30 selections by the glass at the Italian destination restaurant.
“Italian wines are our predominant focus at Panevino, but there are many unique wines and obscure varieties that we have included on our list that are found only in Italy. I try to represent the regions of Italy from north to south with authentic wines that you might not see on a typical wine list. Our list offers 20 different Italian white wine varieties alone,” said Horesovsky.
A native of Florida, Horesovsky began his career in food and beverage early cleaning tables and doing dishes at his parents’ friend’s pharmacy. He spent time working on the famous International Drive near the Orlando Convention Center and waited tables in Walt Disney World. Having a passion for bicycling, Horesovsky worked in a bicycle shop and then helped the store owners open a retail store selling fitness equipment. He became General Manager of the store by the age of 22. He finished his Associate of Arts at Santa Fe Community College and rather than continue his education at the University of Florida, where he enrolled but never attended, Horesovsky moved to Boulder, Colorado to pursue becoming a professional athlete racing bicycles. While pursuing his interest, Horesovsky worked as a bartender in fine dining restaurants in Boulder and later at the ski resort community of Crested Butte. While at the Ski Resort of Crested Butte, Horesovsky quickly became the General Manager of the Forest Queen Hotel and Restaurant. He started a modest wine list at the restaurant and began to truly enjoy wine and take a serious interest in it. Eventually, Horesovsky moved to the Timberline Restaurant, an upscale, fine dining restaurant, where he grew the wine list from 80 selections to over 200.
In 2007, Horesovsky moved to Las Vegas and served briefly as the Wine Director at Marche Bacchus, a wine retail store and French Bistro. That same year, he moved to Panevino. It was at Panevino where he learned and enjoyed a wide variety of Italian wines. In March of 2008, Horesovsky passed his Certified Court of Master Sommelier Exam. Currently, he is studying for his Advanced Certification
